CRUISING TO THE BAHAMAS

A month ago my line sisters and I decided to celebrate five years in Delta by taking a Carnival cruise to Nassau, Bahamas on the Carnival Victory. First off, if you've haven't been on a cruise before, I highly suggest that you do at least once in your life. There are PLENTY of on board activities to do, all you can eat food, a casino, kid friendly activities, pools, jacuzzis, and most ships have a water slide! This was a first time cruise for most of my sisters and they had a great time.

This was a 3-day cruise departing from Miami, FL from Friday-Monday. Most of us traveled down to Miami a day earlier to catch some sun, beach time and to hang out with each other. Thursday night we all met at Fat Tuesday on South Beach for food and drinks and caught up a little and of course everyone was excited for the cruise.

Friday, April 6, 2018 - IT'S CRUSING TIME!

I like to board the ship as early as possible to beat the traffic and of course to not miss sail time. Regardless if you're flying in the day of the cruise or you went down a day earlier, always give yourself time to find the cruise port, terminal, and parking. My roomies and I chose 11 am as our boarding time to give ourselves a chance to eat lunch as we waited on our cabin to be ready.

After everyone got settled and changed, we grabbed some food, drinks and went to karaoke. YES, there is karaoke on the ship and we had so much fun!!! This is actually a must every time I cruise. I mean who doesn't love karaoke?! Let's just say the first night was a GOOD and LONG night.

Saturday, April 7, 2018 - WE MADE IT TO NASSAU!

Our morning started early but luckily our stay in Nassau was overnight so we had plenty of time to tour the island, do excursions and hang out at the beach as much as we wanted to. We met for breakfast on the Lido Deck (this is the main dining area) which has a variety of unlimited food choices. After eating we went to the top deck to snap a few photos before we headed off the ship.

We started with an island tour as the first excursion. Our driver took us around while giving us some history facts about the Bahamas. My favorite stop was a very popular tea shop called Tasty Teas. Find out more about them here. The teas all are natural with a variety of health benefits. Even more, we got to taste a few samples of the teas as well as purchased our favorites to take back home!

After Tasty Teas of course we got some beach time in at one of most popular beaches in Nassau, Cabbage Beach. All I really wanted to do was get into the ocean and put my feet in the sand and I did exactly that. We had a ball on the beach and didn't want to leave!

Our last day on the cruise and we all did our own thing. Some of us got some pool and Jacuzzi time in, got some sleep, got a massage, exercised until it was time for the formal dinner. The formal dinner is another must to do at least once throughout your cruise. Since we missed the scheduled Elegant Night we made this night our Elegant Night and dressed in Red. In the main dining room you are able to choose an appetizer, entrée and dessert from the menu. Food is unlimited as well!

Monday, April 9, 2018 - WELCOME BACK TO MIAMI, FL!

Vacations always seem to take long to arrive but SO quick to end. ahhh! One thing I can say is that we definitely enjoyed ourselves and the first time cruisers REALLY did! A cruise is a personal experience and some times pictures and words can't do them justice. With that being said... GO. ON. ONE. I promise you won't be disappointed and don't forget there are plenty of islands to cruise to.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know if you have or haven't been on a cruise before. If you have, where and if you haven't where do you want to go?
